Loan Modifications remain a positive alternative to selling a home rather than selling a home in a short sale. If a homeowner has income and wants to keep their home lenders are very willing to modify a mortgage. If a homeowner has income and would be able to afford the mortgage if the payments are reduced then a loan modification may be a good solution.
